adblue / nitrous

refil

what is adblue

In pursuit of lowering emissions, AdBlue is the answer. Euro 6 emissions regulations has clamped down on harmful emissions from vehicles across Europe in particular from diesel vehicles.

AdBlue is made up of Water and Urea and then injected into the exhaust system before harmful gasses come out the end.

how does it work?

AdBlue reacts with the nitrous oxide gas produced by the combustion process breaking it down into harmless nitrogen and oxygen

At high temperatures the AdBlue turns into ammonia breaking down the harmful gasses meaning the amount of particles released into the environment is significantly reduces .......... thereby reducing emissions

when does it need a top up?

Your dealer should tell you what to look out for when running low on AdBlue. Your car only uses minimal amounts of AdBlue at a time so you don't need to top up like you do for fuel

On average you should get around 10,000 miles to a tank of AdBlue but this depends on your car

You  will see a warning light come up on your dashboard when its getting low which usually means you have around 1500 miles left so don't worry, thats plenty of time to contact UKTYRES2YOU

If you run out don't worry, we have got your back. Your car will more than likely not start which means your tank will need filling up full again.

Nitrogen inflation

Image-1.jpeg

Why use NITROGEN

Filling your tyres with Nitrogen instead of Air means the pressure in your tyres will remain at the right level for longer due to the slow rate nitrogen passes through gaps in comparison to oxygen

You should check your tyre pressure on a regular basis as wrong pressure can lead to increased wear, which could lead to early replacement or even dangerous blow outs on the road

Nitrogen will keep your tyres inflated for longer as it is a denser gas.

Benefits include:

- Improved Tyre Life

- Consistent Fuel Consumption

- Protection of your rims against rust and wear

- Reduce CO2 emmisions

what do

we charge?

We only fill nitrogen in conjunction with one of our other services all at a convenient place for you.

We charge just £2 per tyre

thats only

£8

for all four tyres and all the benefits
